Social Concerns

Bereavement

Our team of ministers helps families who are going through the loss of a loved one. We assist in the planning and the preparations for vigils, rosaries, funerals, burials and memorial services. In addition we can help with paperwork, scheduling and coordination needed between the parish and the funeral home. We also walk with the bereaved for a period of time following the funeral. Local bereavement groups are available to help.

Community Outreach

Our Outreach program provides basic essentials to families in need. We provide food, clothing, spiritual guidance, and referrals to local assistance organizations. During the holidays we offer food baskets to families so that they can enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in their own homes. Our pantry is kept full through the generosity of our parishioners and the “Fishes and Loaves” monthly food collections during Sunday Masses. We also facilitate the delivery of weekly prepared meals from the County Nutrition Center to our senior shut-ins. We need friendly volunteers with compassionate and humble hearts. Please join us!

Mother Cabrini Mission Circle

The members of the Cabrini Mission Circle extend our love and concern to those outside of our local community. They supply food, clothing and medical supplies to our neighbors in Mexico and on Indian reservations here in the United States. They have repaired houses for the disabled and built medical and dental clinics in Tijuana. One Saturday a month they journey south to feed the least of our brethren. All are welcome to join the circle. A kind spirit and a passport are all that is required.
